Last night I wore my new Monif C. coral ruched dress to dinner with my fiance.

I have never received so much attention or so many compliments as I did on this dress. So sexy. Definitely one of the sexiest dresses I’ve ever worn. Between all the ruching and this juicy color, I am in love. The pictures don’t do it justice!

I wore it all night and it kept it’s shape beautifully. The material is great and so comfortable. This is a convertible dress, which means you can wrap it in different styles. I was scared I might not be able to wrap it properly but it’s pretty simple! There are also different styles/instructions via the Monif C website. I heard the dresses are selling quickly—something to consider if you are thinking about getting one!

I paired it with my pink studded heels, a snake print clutch, and gold necklace. My fiance surprised me with Tiffany diamond earrings, which I also wore. I forgot to photograph them but they are beautiful. You know I love sparkle.

Everything about this outfit was about contrasts of texture. Tulle, leather, lace, jersey—each tending toward soft or structured. This Rodarte for Target dress is dainty but the blazer and boots aren’t so delicate.

I guess this look is sort of 90s-dress-with-combat-boots, but you can lift the chicness of the outfit by incorporating some stylish elements: a platform boot, a tuxedo cut blazer, a slim belt, & some sparkly accessories. What do you think?

Unfortunately, this dress is no longer available (unless you try ebay) but if you want to recreate the look, I think this lace dress by Lucie Lu looks pretty similar.

This unique and stylish dress was very graciously sent to me by eShakti. It has stretchy panels that make some parts of the dress look more transparent than others, but the layer underneath ensures you have enough coverage throughout. The dress is well made and looks more expensive that it is. I got mine in a size 16 and I may bring the waist in a little but other than that, I think it’s perfect.

For this first outfit, I wanted something a little dressed down. I put this chambray shirt on top of it after seeing a woman pair denim with an Herve Leger skirt. I love this outfit with these strappy shoes because they’re super comfortable but keep the outfit interesting and show off my purple pedi!

My friend Gabi of YFF pretty much started a trend of plus size women wearing short dresses with blazers. I had never tried the look until this weekend, but I can see why so many love it. It’s dressy, but also relaxed and comfortable, but still sexy. I wore a pair of booties because I thought the look needed a more substantial heel in order for the outfit to have some balance.

Years ago I would have been afraid to even try on a short skirt due to my fear of showing cellulite but I say to hell with fearing cellulite! Wear what you love and be happy. Thanks for visiting the blog!

I’ve been trying to think of ways to dress down this cage dress because it’s gorgeous, but until now I’ve only worn it to parties. I wore my denim jacket over it and I love that the dress looks like a skirt. I think the denim gave the look a flirty western spin that is so cute! I like dark heels but I thought black shoes would take away from the casual feel I wanted, so these brown heels are perfect.
