This post is brought to you by Playtex.
One thing I’ve learned since becoming a grown woman: my morning will make or break my day. On those days when I can get out of bed just as the morning light is starting to flood into my bedroom, I will usually have a good day. Why? Because I have time to perform my ritual: a glass of cold water, a quiet yoga session right on my living room floor, then showering and dressing. Then it’s go, go, go.
I need my intimates and clothes to be low-fuss so I can approach my day from a solid place. I haven’t always been the best at choosing the right bra and like a lot of women, I often can’t wait to take mine off at the end of the day. But I recently got the chance to try this PLAYTEX undercover smoothing bra which has wide straps, shapewear panels on the sides, and zero padding. It’s available through size 44 DDD.
It’s SO comfortable. I tried it before I agreed to write about it because I wanted to make sure I loved it. These bras are what I’ve been reaching for morning after morning. I’m wearing it here under my striped, jeweled top. The makings of a great outfit start from the inside out.

Where did you find that gorgeous robe?

Victoria’s Secret (long ago) it’s not plus-size but fairly boxy. Find cute things there once in a while!

i totally agree that the morning sets the pace for the whole day. On the good days, I wake up and shower , allowing myself to think about what I want to accomplish for the day in a relaxing setting. I usually give myself at least 3 things to do so I don’t feel overwhelmed.
On the days where I know I have a lot going on, I relax and imagine the water washing away my anxieties. I match my attire with my goals and make sure I’m comfortable. Then I have a glass of warm lemon water and oatmeal and off I go.

My favorite part of the morning is my morning drink. Whether it’s coffee or a chai tea latte. Something about that first sip makes you feel like the day has officially begun. My other tip is to get dressed and do your hair. Even if you have to wake up 20 minutes early. The bounce you have in your step when you feel put together is worth way more than those extra minutes of sleep.

Stretch in bed (I do my yoga stretches in bed, so much more gentle on my joints than the floor), take a little bit longer hot shower, face rituals and overall not have to rush through the morning!

Jump in the shower abd then use my Arbonne products to prep my skin. Then I get dressed, do hair abd makeup. Currently trying to find a good overall bra that lifts my girls

The bra looks lovely and comfy. I wonder if I could get these in the Netherlands.

Shower and then I moisturize my face and body and after I brush my teeth and hair, which is followed by leave in conditioner and lastly I do my makeup.

There’s no way I would start my day without a great shower with my favorite bathing products! I love to indulge in silky, moisturizing soaps in exotic scents to energize me. Then I listen to the BBC while getting ready at my makeup table, either sipping my must-have French press coffee or if I have more time, a lovely chai. I can enter the office informed and up-to-date for my boss or at the very least, have interesting conversation starters.

Whose jacket is that? Love the color.
My morning is not complete without a crossword puzzle.

I start my mornings by languishing in bed as long as I can. Sometimes I read, sometimes I stretch pr do leg lifts, but mostly I just meditate. Then I wash my face, brush my teeth, shower, and get down to business with my face routine (the longest part lol).

Im looking forward to the end of this month when I close on my first home and spend the first morning in MY new bedroom. The room is a bright space with high ceilings and skylights over the bed so my morning “thawing time” after my alarm will be a perfectly invigorating few moments of snuggling with my dog!

First, This look is everything, I shared it on my Facebook page! So sleek and sexy! Second, the blazer, where’s it from?
P.S. Love your blog!

My morning routine starts the night before, I pick out my outfit for the next day. It starts my day in a less hurried tempo.

I like to start my day off by brushing my teeth and hair. Then some quiet time for devotions with a warm cup of cocoa.

I am helplessly bad at mornings, so I often spend the first 15 minutes or so whacking alarms or procrastinating on my phone to keep from truly getting up. The weather app is particularly useful for seeing whether or not I need to shave my legs that morning 😉
But I think mornings are a pretty good time to reflect on goals for the day or to start making to-do lists. I don’t have a particularly fancy morning routine (shower, quick breakfast if I can – and mobile breakfast if I can’t) but I do try to leave myself enough time to get my brain into gear.

horrible at mornings here too! my biggest thing is to just get going, even when i wanna snooze for 45 more minutes, the snooze button does nothing in terms of getting us out the door so I do my best to resist!

I don’t have a peaceful, energizing routine like you do, I tend to sleep in and have to get ready pretty quickly. During the week my fiance and I make to-go coffees and we carpool to his work, and we always have about 5-10 min in the parking lot where we sip out coffees, make our plans for the day, and share a goodbye kiss before I have to drop him and head to my work. I always try to leave on-time to make sure we have time for that little exchange and don’t have to rush through it.

Oh my gosh I am forever trying to find good comfortable and cute (sexy) bra. With my fluctuating weight over the years, my girls bounce back and forth from DD to Ds. I regress. I like your inclusion of yoga. I always have lofty ideas of doing it in the morning, but nope. My usual routine is scrolling instagram, playing a couple of buzz feed quizzes (soo addictive), and checking my emails. I finally pull myself from bed, get a nice cold glass of water, and off to getting myself ready for the day.

From the second my alarm goes off I am go,go,go. Making lunches and brushing little kids teeth, sending them onto the school bus. By the time thats all done, i get a nice mug, fill’er with coffee and watch coronation street every morning. I find if i dont get dressed by 8:30 i feel so groggy and it ruins my day, so i make sure to be a little strict with myself 🙂

The best morning ritual for me happens before I even get out of bed! I begin each day with a few minutes of visualizing; I picture how I want my day to go and the opportunities that will come my way. I end with a moment to focus on appreciating others and treating everyone I meet with kindness.

I’ve never really been a morning person but I married one. He taught me that getting up early allows for a leisurely pace in the morning and that’s the key to a great start for me. If i sleep long enough to be awakened by the horrible alarm clock sound my morning is rushed chaos.
The bra looks great, Id love to try one.

I am very addicted to my small routines every day, esp in the morning. I have a bladder disorder, so I spend around 30 mins the toilet, reading news on a tablet and waking up. Then shower, makeup, twist hair into a bun and 10 mins finding a comfortable outfit I love:) I actually bought my first playtex bra this year (a sports type bra)! Love your blog:)
