Fatshionable in New York
When I told you I was going to the YFF Conference I said I wanted to live out my Sex and the City dreams. I knew I needed an outfit that would make me like a fabulous plus size Carrie Bradshaw. I wanted tulle and sparkle and I think everything came together beautifully. I loved my outfit!
I wore this to the meet & greet event, one of the best events of the weekend. I loved meeting so many...
Summer Rose
The retailers we visited in New York gave us gift bags and in my Evans bag was this cute rose-print scarf. I usually only wear scarfs in cold weather so I was a little unsure how to wear it. Then I watched an episode of Sex and the City where Carrie was wearing a scarf as a top—I gave it a try!
I just folded the scarf into a triangle and tied it behind my back. You could wear a bandeau...
YFF Conference 2
The photo shoot we did with Plus Model Magazine was amazing. Special thanks to Maddy from PMM! I’ve never experienced anything like it and it was so much fun to get our hair and makeup done! Pictures are set to come out soon and I will definitely post about it when they are released! For the shoot I wore jeans, a sparkly striped top, a beaded hat, and my Helmut Lang heels.
I went into...

Princess shoes
It’s been a while since we had a shoe post! I love heels and have a lot of fun in them, but contrary to what a lot of people believe, I don’t wear heels every day. I am however, really picky about flats. Just because they’re flats doesn’t mean they don’t have to be just as fabulous as your other shoes.
Today I wanted to share a pair of Pazzion flats that I purchased...
Sheer Black
Hi everyone! It’s been a while since my last outfit post! I wanted to show this super cute organza jacket I got from the ASOS Black collection. It’s perfect for going out on a warm summer night. I wore a sheer tee underneath for a cool layered effect. The midwash jeggings from ASOS Curve are so comfortable and it’s nice having an alternative to dark denim, which I usually favor....
Los Angeles
Here are some photos from my trip to Los Angeles. Aside from some business I did while there, most of my time was spent with my sister and eating amazing food! I love this city.
I fell in love with the purple Louboutins pictured below. More on my shoe quest later—I’m going to need your help picking a pair to get in New York. This is going to be the celebratory purchase I will be...

Open Shoulder
It’s been a while since my last outfit post because I was waiting to use my new Nikon dslr camera. I’m still learning how to use it, but I’m happy that picture quality is improving on the blog. I’m going to Los Angeles this week so I expect I’ll have some fun pictures to share!
I love flowy tops with jeans but to keep things a little interesting I paired the look...
Summer Love
Photo via Biggunben
I was inspired to write this post after I got a bag of saltwater taffy from the shop pictured above, on Pier 39 in San Francisco. Taffy makes me think of hot weather, the beach, and the boardwalk. With that in mind, I’m sharing some of my favorite clothes and shoes that I think capture the mood.
I love Stefanie Bezaire’s designs, they are so whimsical and...
Little Black Mesh Dress
This unique and stylish dress was very graciously sent to me by eShakti. It has stretchy panels that make some parts of the dress look more transparent than others, but the layer underneath ensures you have enough coverage throughout. The dress is well made and looks more expensive that it is. I got mine in a size 16 and I may bring the waist in a little but other than that, I think it’s...
Fatshionable in French Glamour
I am incredibly honored to have been included in the June issue of French Glamour magazine. The feature includes Stephanie, Sakina, Kylanita, Gabi, and Lilli. This is amazing and I’m so happy to be in the company of these gorgeous and talented women. Thank you to French Glamour and thank you to everyone who supports the blog! Vive les fatshionistas!
P.S. In case you missed it, check...
Hats, Hats, Hats
I love the incomparable Isabella Blow—style icon, fashion editor, and hat muse. The world is less fabulous without her but she left the fashion world so much in terms of talent she mentored, fashion she inspired, and of course a few very striking images. She is an inspiration for all who dare to be different.
Thinking about her these last few days, I’ve become obsessed with finding...

Cowgirl Cage Skirt
I’ve been trying to think of ways to dress down this cage dress because it’s gorgeous, but until now I’ve only worn it to parties. I wore my denim jacket over it and I love that the dress looks like a skirt. I think the denim gave the look a flirty western spin that is so cute! I like dark heels but I thought black shoes would take away from the casual feel I wanted, so these...
Fatshionable goes to New York!
I’m so excited to be one of the eleven bloggers invited to the YFF Conference which will take place on July 9-11 in NYC! The conference is being hosted by Gabi of YFF and it’s going to be amazing! The weekend will be full of events, fashion, and fun. There is also one way that readers can get involved—on Friday July 9th there will be a cocktail mixer for the bloggers and any...

The Art of Draping
First of all, I’m so honored to have been recently featured on some amazing sites! Grazia France listed me in a feature about the top plus size blogs. Chic.com, a Brazilian fashion site, profiled me along with other fabulous bloggers. Finally, an awesome feature and fashion resource was posted on Refinery29 and Jezebel. Thank you so much! Hello to any people visiting from these sites!

Ruffles & Booties
First, I wanted to let you know that I put some ad space in the right column. I’ve kept the page ad free until now but they can help make the blog better + more fun in the long run! Thanks sooo much to everyone who visits this blog, reads, and comments. You guys are the reason I keep blogging! xo
This outfit is a little funny because I built it around the booties, which I got first. I...
White Blazer & Las Vegas
I recently started a Facebook page under J. Fatshionable to connect with readers, you can add me there. I know a lot of you use facebook, so don’t be shy about adding me or messaging me!
My wardrobe is shifting as the warmer months arrive. Simply Be sent me this white blazer and it’s the perfect addition to my closet for the season. It’s relaxed and feels like it was designed...

Parisian Inspiration & Chanel
Recently I’ve been in love with all things French—the film Coco Before Chanel, Sakina, and the episodes of Sex and the City set in Paris. Here is my outfit below, which was inspired by all this.
Yesterday I went to the Chanel boutique, so take a peek at my bag too. Being in Chanel is like being in a different world, one I never want to leave. There is just no going back after you get...
Kim K Inspired
It’s no secret that I love Kim Kardashian’s fashion sense, hair, and makeup. Her outfits are so fun, simple, sexy, and stylish. A while back I saw a picture of Kim wearing a great blazer with a fringe top, so I thought I would recreate the look using pieces that could work for plus sizes.
First, this gorgeous fringe necklace from the etsy store Leilanni Land. This is so much more...
