My dress: Talbots, Sandals: Zara, Girls’ dresses: April Cornell
We’re the mood to frolic, but for now that means frolicking in our own backyard. While we’re missing family this Easter, we still wanted to do something fun for the girls. While they look forward to the egg hunt, I look forward to dressing them in matching outfits.
Like any mom on a special day, I’m hoping for at least ONE good picture of them. I’ve learned it’s easiest to get a good photo of kids when they have something to play with, rather than just being asked to pose. My tip: create a kid-friendly setting! Once they were done with the egg hunt I had them look through the baskets on this cute picnic blanket. A few camera snaps later: I had a frame-worthy shot of my bunnies!
Crafts we enjoyed this year: a wooden egg banner (etsy, here), mystery watercolor egg paintings (based on this), and pastel play dough (recipe here). Inside their baskets they found chocolate, jelly beans, and a few princessy surprises.
Hope your day was sweet!
