When I travel, I always start out imagining the dressier outfits—what I’ll wear to dinner at that special restaurant or a something flirty for the cocktail lounge. But one of the best parts about traveling is exploring. We don’t travel with itineraries; we like to see where the day takes us. For those kind of days you need to wear something cute, but comfortable.

I’ve been seeing off-the-shoulder tops and dresses everywhere and this one jumped out at me when I saw it on the rack. White denim was made for warm weather and together with the top, made a beautifully breezy outfit. Still, I knew it needed a little something extra. When I found this blush pink sun hat, I knew it’d complete the look I had in mind.

I wore this to explore the area around the resort where we were staying, finding the best fish tacos (at a place called the Taco Stand in La Jolla, Calif.,) and strolling in the surf. A perfect day.
