Evening look: Tank, Trouser, Clutch (similar), Necklace, Shoes
You might think olive green doesn’t fit into a feminine wardrobe, but you can soften up this trending color by adding pink or purple and a few pretty accessories. I put together a day and evening look for you using a few favorites from Target’s Ava and Viv collection to show you what I mean.
For my daytime look, I built an outfit around this comfy olive green crochet tank. I wore it with these awesome ripped skinny jeans — I’ve wanted a style like this for the longest time! I’m picky about my jeans and these looked good ALL day. I added my own blush pink blazer and purple bag. I ended up wearing this to brunch on Saturday and then swapped the heels for flat sandals to run some errands. For evening, I wanted something low-fuss but still chic, so I chose this olive printed trouser as my statement piece and added a simple tank in lilac. I love the look of a loose tank that’s just-barely tucked in, it’s relaxed but elegant.
Other tips for going from day to night: switch leather shoes for satin, darken a pink lip to a deep wine shade, trade your functional bag for an embellished clutch, choose sleek jewels, and tousle your hair.
What do you think? Which look is your favorite?

I love olive too – it’s such a great neutral as it works with black, tan, white, taupe, pink, purple, navy… The jeans in the first outfit post are fabulous!! I would love to know what lipstick you are wearing with the second outfit, the colour is beautiful!

You know, I didn’t think I liked olive, buy you look fantastic in it! I’m going to try this out! Ps—I love the pink blush blazer, too. I have one just like it, and it’s my go-to piece when I need a soft color.
