Since I became a mom I feel like a new woman. In some ways, I am more confident. Sometimes I think: “I can do anything!” And yet, fashion-and-beauty-wise, I sometimes I find myself thinking: “I can’t wear that, I’m a mom.”

But you know what? Motherhood doesn’t have to look one way. We can be natural earth mamas one day and chic stylish mommies the next. And yes, we can be sexy. How do you think we became mothers in the first place?

When Maybelline and Refinery29 approached me to collaborate, I was excited to have some new makeup to wear on my next date night with my husband. I tried Maybelline’s Color Elixir, which is pigmented like lipstick, but wears like gloss. In the pictures, I’m wearing “Raspberry Rhapsody.” So perfect with my new dress. Isn’t it wonderful how the first time you wear a new outfit or lipstick feels like magic?
